biography

Dontez joined the firm as an Associate in 2023 and practices in the areas of insurance defense and civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Dontez worked for a national mid-sized firm, where he focused on general liability, automobile negligence, premises liability, and employment law.  Dontez graduated cum laude from Morehouse College in 2018, earning a Bachelor’s of Art in Political Science. He then attended Mercer University School of Law, where he was named one of four Woodruff Scholars. During his time in law school, Dontez competed on the Black Law Student Association’s (BLSA’s) moot court team, achieving first place and winning the Best Petitioner Brief in the Thurgood Marshall moot Court Competition in his final year.

Outside of the office, Dontez enjoys going out to dinner and attending events with his friends and family. As a former swimmer, he also takes advantage of any opportunity to get in the water.
